The best of the launches, signings and merry-making

After a whirlwind couple of weeks, Zuma’s Bastard has officially been launched. In Cape Town, the picturesque setting of Lobby Books prepared me for the probing questions that may be directed at me for some time yet. At the pre-launch signing of the book in Gateway back in Durban Jacob Zuma’s granddaughter, a friendly twelve year old girl, bought a copy of the book at the request of her father. I also had that bizzare run-in with Schabir Shaik. The launch in Durban brought some 150 people out of their homes on a school night and they were treated to quite a show. Rob Pattmore stamped on books, threw socks at the crowd while MC for the evening, MJ Khan, proved an excellent host. In Jo’burg the next day I was bleary eyed but bowled over by my Thought Leader editor, Aliki Kasaradiris who was the guest speaker at the launch at Exclusive Books in Mandela Square.

These pictures tell the story:

What a crazy and awesome adventure it’s been.
From driving all over (Overport) to find the best t-shirts, to UKZN seminars, to designing sand sculptors, to all 3 rocking launches and to books being sold out at Midlands Mall.
    Well done.

    Here’s to many more.. :)
